Butterfly/Lazy Days 12 - Wings

Butterfly/Lazy Days 12 - Wings

Ok final approach!!! I inserted the dowel for the wing halfs. And while I was at it I thought it would be a good idea to tape the joint both on top and bottom. Yeah might have been overkill and not called for in the instructions but what the hay!

Butterfly/Lazy Days 11 - BEC/Battery placement

Ok we are almost done. Finally!!!!
Shoved the BEC as far front as a could instead of using the shelf installation route above the servos.

I am using deans micro but can use my small to large deans converter to use the smaller lipo batts.

Using the big Thunderpower lipo batts I am probably going to have a weight and balance issue... Will have to do a thorough check on that.

Butterfly/Lazy Days 10 - Tail/Antenna

Butterfly/Lazy Days 10 - Tail/Antenna

I was am still not happy with the way the rudder hinges. So for a temporary fix I put some Blenderm on the lower hinge area to give it some added strength. Alan my flying buddy looked it over and he agreed with my assessment but said it would be good enough for now.

Some just have the antenna hanging out of the bottom of the aircraft, I thought it would be much better to have it somewhat protected. So I ran it through the tail boom and poked a hole in the vertical stab and secured it that way.

Still thinking about getting some clear green and finishing the boom and the cowl plastic parts... Sorta looks cool but I go back and forth with the idea.
