Great Planes Yak 55 3D FlightFlex EP ARF Part 5
Final setups
Well the end is here... Yippie.
First I installed the servos for the tail assembly. They went pretty much without a hitch. I did mount them vertically as opposed to horizontal. I asked a few of the more experienced builders if this would be a problem with the performance of the servo. Most servos that I have installed are longways pointed to the moving part and I was wondering if by installing them the short way would have a different torque and degredation of performance. They looked over the model and said "nope" so I went with it.
Next I installed the motor. I used a Himax inrunner, a 4266.

I then mated it up with a Castle Creations 35 amp speed controller.

I made sure I put a few twists in the wires to hopefully knock down the RF interference.
Lastly I installed a Hitec 555 receiver

Next post will detail the flight tests and thoughts on the aircraft.
