St. Marys Wall Bangers - SMWB Part 2
Events of Saturday March 11, 2006
- Our 2nd outing in the Big Gym.. Great fun was had by all..
- LOTS of Helo action.. Alan even got into the mix doing his version of the Statue of Liberty with having an elevated landing pad.. He already has a short enough haircut.. But I guess he needed a trim.. Those blades got awfully close.
- Alan was the star of the show with is home made, scratch built, build it in 1 day Stop Sign. Very successful maiden flights! A lot of tweeking and consulting done with Ross and Randy on the Stop Sign. All in all very nicely done!! Changes are in order and should have them done by next BG flight.
- No major mishaps, couple of glitches but all came thru ok.
- Chris a friend of Randy came and got to meet the gang and show off his "Airwolf" type Helo. Wow!
- Jason showed up this time... Somehow got out of a "previous" engagement... Hmmm.. :) :) But we're very glad he did, priorities are very important.. :) He did is usual great show with his Reflection and then broke out his smaller Helo.. Then he fired up his big Helo WOW! Stand back and watch those blades!!! Wow nerves of steel..
- John, Randy and I were buzzing around with our SS and Pico Sticks.
- Randy got his Antoinette going but after a couple of flights the motor got very weak. Also had his Pizza plate on hand and a couple of the guys got that going around the "patch".
- Ross again brought his Jazz Bipe.. Just love those flames and skull on the vert stab...
- My Mom wanted to see what all the buzz was about so she stopped by. She loved it!!!
- We were also treated to some watermelon seeds as a desert. Actually they were Chocolate Rice Crispy treats brought to us by Randy... Thanks Randy... Very tasty!!! Bring more! :)
- No fly-in next week 3/18 Gym in use and some of us are going to the KC fly-in... Hope to see you there...
